Please check Consult Legal Group and Novation Law Center. These are all one and the same company. Each have taken over 3000 from people in order to receive a loan modification and I have not heard from anyone that they actually received one.
I should have known better. I was told they couldn't update me on a weekly basis and that they are a lawyer so they were allowed to charge a fee even though the Federal Trade Commission website that companies (no matter if they are a lawyer or not) can charge for helping with a loan modification unless the services were complete.
Please be very careful. Please read all reviews on each company. They tell you they have 24 years in business.....Ask them to show you how.
