I am from the Houston, Texas area and I have had a run in with these people as well. They call and ask for our address and then a few days to a few weeks later will call and say they are sorry that the toner hasn't arrived yet, they are getting that right away and hang up before you can even say anything (They also mentioned they were from Konico Minolta, which SURPRISE, is our copier brand). I am in charge of office supplies and when I went on maternity leave, the temp answered one of their calls and gave them all of our information. Luckily, they did not send the toner right away and called back to "Confirm" the order. I explained to them that this is wrong, I was out for maternity leave and our temp did not know what she was doing, our copier is under contract, please do not send any toner. The guy laughed and said "Um, I don't know what the hell you're talking about, keep smoking what you're smoking" and hung up. Not very pleasant. Anyway, they just called back again yesterday and today...I guess gave it a few months to cool down before they called again. Apparently, I'm not the first in my office to deal with this, one of our paralegals went and ordered six CASES which translates into 8 toners PER CASE. It took my boss threatening to sue for them not to send them and they STILL call and try it here. Next time they call I'm going to tell them we don't have a copier.
