Bad Service, then payoff offered to delete negative review

Ordered from Visiondecor through Amazon.com on September 11. On September 14, I received an email saying that my item had been shipped and would arrive September 19-21. No tracking information ever appeared on Amazon, and on the 22nd (8 days after I received the "has been shipped" email), I emailed the company. I received no response, but two days later (on Monday) I received a call from a logistics company looking to schedule a delivery. I returned their call on Tuesday morning but did not hear back until Wednesday, when I was told that they only delivered to my area on Wednesdays and hadn't put the item on the truck that day, so the item could not be delivered until October 10. This was 5 days after my email to Visiondecor, and I still had not received any response directly from the company.
I asked the shipping company to contact their customer (Visiondecor) and come up with a better plan, given that I would have been waiting thirty days by that point. Then, I went to Amazon.com and left negative feedback for Visiondecor.
Within a couple of hours, I had received a call from an alternate shipper saying the item would be delivered the next day and another call from someone at Visiondecor offering a discount for the inconvenience.
When I returned the call, in the middle of a weekday afternoon, I got a message asking me to call back during regular business hours. I did not attempt to reach them again after that. About a week later, I received an email from the company, again offering a discount--but this one was more specific: they could offer me a 50% discount on my order if I agreed to remove my negative review on Amazon within 24 hours.
This, of course, called the value of all of their feedback on Amazon (and wherever else they may do business) into question. I did check feedback before determining which seller to purchase the item from, but only on Amazon--after this experience, I began to check sites like this one and discovered that the reports were very similar to mine. It appears that this company consistently delivers a negative experience; perhaps I am not the only person who has been offered a bribe to delete a negative review.
