We bought two gates from Vinyl Concepts because the salesman told us Home Depot backs the product warranty. The Home Depot name sold us the job. As it turned out, we found the salesman and the technician don't necessarily work well together in terms of product knowledge and availability. And then it came the installer. The workmanship is less than precise, somewhat crude and sloppy. We feel that Vinyl Concepts is using the Home Depot's name to sell their vinyl products and installation jobs like hot cakes. They are so busy capitalizing on this opportunity that they are compromising on the workmanship. We find the least desirable behavior is: 1) They told us they would call to finalize the measurements and product availability but didn't, and then they tried scheduling an installation. When I asked them why they didn't call to confirm, they lied that they left me a “voice mail” when I knew they did not. 2) They made excuses to justify their installation errors. Do they really think we don't know any better what they're doing?
