At the time of the move, I was having many problems with the movers. They where literally throwing some items over the balcony. I was upset! I attempted to contact Lee B., Senior Sales Consultant who took my order and literally called & e-mailed me 4-5 times a day before the move. Unfortunately, she was busy on the phone with other clients and couldn’t take my call according to the receptionist who answered the telephone. I requested to speak to a supervisor and was transferred to Ben, big mistake. This supervisor was worse; he disrespected me and threatens to take all my furniture within 30 minutes if I didn’t pay his movers an additional $300 cash, he refused a check or credit card. He stated that he will auction all my furniture the next day.
My jaw was tightening; this is a symptom of a seizure about to happen. I had to hang up and take my medication to help me relax. I attempted to speak to the foreman and he stated that whatever his supervisor says’s goes. I asked why where they being so unprofessional he responded with a high tone. He said, “I don’t want to talk to you, call them back”. I called back and asked for Lee but I was automatically transferred to Ben. Ben continued to disrespect me and told me to “jump over the fence and go back where I came from “.
That was the last straw, I called the police. They where holding my furniture hostage unless I came up with $300 dollars cash within 30 minutes and I didn’t feel safe anymore around the movers. I didn’t want to judge them for their tattoos and piercings but I feared for my family. The police arrived fast and stated it was a civil matter, they couldn’t assist me. I let them finish unloading and just couldn’t believe what had happened.
