Review 2/1/2009
|
I reviewed the BBB complaint dtd: 10/6/08. This company's response was that they had " Contacted their Marketing company and told them to remove the letters [HUD] from any and all marketing material for USA Mortgage Aid". Well as of Jan. 28, 2009 they are still using the same Post Card with the very big "HUD" lettering. Specifically "Notice of Your HUD rights - Reference HUD - ML 2000-05. I find this very misleading to senior citizens and the public at large. It was sent to my uncle who is a senior citizen and he believed it was from a HUD affiliate until I went online with the Better Business Bureau web site and looked it up. they wanted him to pay $2,000.00 to help him save his home but with no guarantees. I read their contract proposal and it's extremely misleading. The public should be made aware of this company and others like it. Many people are in jeopardy of losing their homes because of their inability to pay their mortgages. This companies fee requests can be used by the homeowner to further reduce their mortgage arrears and not given to someone wishing to make a profit out of their suffering due to bad big business decisions that led to the countrys current recession. Thank you for this opportunity to heighten public awareness.!
