Company called me last night said they had my timeshare sold and wanted $2999.99 upfront but it would be refunded as soon as they receive my signed contract. They said my unit sold for $15,000 and they would also include my maintenance fee of $480 which would be $15480 and they were going to round it up to $16,000 which would be made by the buyer a Mr. Jackson. They also said they would refund me $2000 for the fees I have already paid to list my unit and they would round it up to $2500 and I would have that credited to my credit card in 24 hours. I asked why I am paying them when I already listed with TimeShare Market Pro and they said that the company had gone under and they bought the inventory. I asked why I had to give them $2999.99 up front if they were going to refund it to me and they said to show good faith and to protect them if I owed any money associated with the unit. I told them that they could check with the deed office and see there are no liens. I reminded them that I was a cop. They asked why I was telling them that and I told them after 33 years working Fraud cases I was not giving them anything until I checked them out with the Police in Ft. Lauderdale. All the time I was talking to Tom Parker (American Name foreign voice) I was receiving calls from other 954 area code numbers. These call didn't start until after I told him I was a cop. Then Parker says what if I pay half of the money myself and you give your credit card number for the rest. I laughed at him and told him I would call the Broward County Sheriff's Office and do some research and call him back tomorrow. Of course then he says well this is a time sensitive offer. It was 8:30PM. I don't really think if the offer were legit that anything was going to change at that hour. I haven't called the Sheriff's Office but the info I have found on the net has definitely persuaded to do so.
