Somehow I was signed up for TigerDirect.com's email list - I have never purchased anything from them. Consequently, I receive two emails a day from their ad system. I have tried unsubscribing from their emails on three separate occasions over the course of a month - they keep sending me emails. It seems they do not have a real unsubscribe utility. Upon submitting their web unsubscribe form, they say that you will only be unsubscribed from their list when you receive a receipt from their subscription system - they don't send receipts. Which leads me to believe that it is a) impossible to unsubscribe, b) that they do not want you to unsubscribe, c) they use questionable business practices in other areas of their business. Making matters worse, my email address is provided by the US military - it has limited storage space (which I'd like to use for family and work communication) and extensive restrictions on the types of communications I receive. Despite numerous emails and unsubscribe-system "requests," TigerDirect continues to send me their twice, sometimes three times, daily emails - clogging the military's email system, clogging my inbox, and annoying me.
