Beware of Deactivation even if you follow the TOS
|
My parents told me about Swagbucks raving about how easy it was to get points and Amazon gift cards. Well it is HOWEVER I was deactivated out of the blue the other day--losing out on $35 worth of swagbucks and redeemed rewards. The reason given (they don't tell you upfront why you are deactivated...you have to wait for them to reply to an email inquiry which takes days) was that I was abusing SBTV by using a program/iFrame (whatever an iFrame). Now I've been getting captachas for ages and know I miss a few but never an absurd amount--in fact I don't use SBTV all that much honestly. But missing a captacha here or there is a HUMAN thing--I think I'd look more suspicious if I didn't miss any. The compliance team is unhelpful and basically just told me that my case was closed but nothing about why they thought I was cheating.
So yes Swagbucks can be a good site but beware their FAULTY system of detecting cheaters. You may end up spending hours collecting swagbucks (and of course earning them money) only to find yourself deactivated even if you did nothing wrong.
