Salespeople were nice, polite and helpful. However the Service Dept. seemed not to care if you came or not. Being new to the area I was used to excellent Ford Customer Care at both the former Moss Bros. Ford Colton, CA and most recently Fairview Ford San Bernardino having purchsaed 2 New Explorers in 2002 and a New Expedition in 2005 and a F250 Super Duty 6.0 in 2005. I remember pulling up to thier Service area, in 2008 when I was new to the area, about a small concern with my my F250 for approx. 5 minutes and no one greeted me so I left. Recently had a small repair job done and my truck came out worse than when I left it and a rag somehow got into my block right where the thermostat was installed. Wonder why my truck all of a sudden ran hot within 2 blocks right up until I had an indepedent mechanic remove the rag. Needless to say I will be driving 70 miles round trip for any Ford service. I work for the county and with layoffs, cutbacks and furloughs I can't afford to get taken for my money. Mr. Juarez and Mr. Chambers Asst. Mgr, and Mgr, treated me fine but the service dept. left a lot to be desired.

Business's response - by Sunland Fordon 7/20/2010

This gentleman came and talked to our technician regarding this. We would never and have never ripped off anyone. The hose he states we should have checked was brand new, why would we ever have any reason to run a snake thru the hose looking for rags. No one at this dealership has ever been anything but courteous to this customer. We did not stuff a rag down in to the center of his hose. If he wants to get a credit on his owners reward account at this dealership for 1/2 the price of our repair i would be willing to do that. This would give him a credit at our dealership for 256.50. I would only be doing this out of a goodwill not because we ever stuffed a rag in his hose to cause him damage. I reiterate that this rag is not ours, it belongs to the shop that tore it down in the first place. I also never said his shop was not competent, his shop could not install the seal and to warranty the work we did have to do the job to completion. I am sorry we never checked inside new hoses for rags but in 32 years this is the first time i have ever had a rag hidden inside a new part .Like they say, live long enough, you finally see it all. Have cust call for credit at our store if he'd like
