WARNING: DO NOT EVER BRING YOUR ANIMAL COMPANIONS TO THEM! I cannot believe these Vets and their front office are so unfriendly to both humans and animals. How did they get their license to practice? I am appalled! With all the animal protests out there, groups should picket this establishment. They excessively over charge on everything. We rescued a squirrel who fell out of his nest, we nursed him back to health but it was too late to re-release him. He has urinary blockage problems and we were referred to them by other Vets in the area who did not deal with exotic animal care. Our squirrel has to have his bladder expressed (manually drained with hands) daily possibly for the rest of his life even with a medication that is supposed to assist in bladder contractions, and we were told that we have to keep coming back until it will be easier for our squirrel to urinate on his own, if at all. We went back and they charged $14 per visit. In a month that would cost roughly $420! They would not let us back in the examination rooms to accompany him, only if we insisted and became firm about wanting to be with him would they allow it. When they returned him on a 3rd or 4th visit, we noticed a red mark on his underside...THEY WERE HURTING HIM!!! We asked whether they could teach us the procedure because the cost was just too much to bear, or even cut the cost, they remained adamantly SILENT and then they said Dr. Pitts-the owner declared that we are already receiving a discount and that they are in a deficit, that is simply not true, that charge of $14.00 is the ACTUAL CHARGE FOR "EXPRESSING" the bladder of an animal. Dr. Fullington is rude, condescending and rolls his eyes and says "OH GOD" when being asked questions about our animal care! THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS REPUGNANT TO SAY THE LEAST. They are arrogant and remind me of HOLLYWOOD AGENTS AND MANAGERS THAT COULD NOT BE BOTHERED UNLESS YOU'RE AN "A" LISTER.
