Contrary to what the poster below believes, Assuming he has never had to deal with the horrid that is Square-Enix's Customer Service. Much like Ted's review, my account had been banned for a charge back issued on the credit card my account was linked to without my notice by my ex girlfriend whom forgot all about it being used for my account. Received a email from SE in which explained what occurred and their reasons for the actions that were taken, called their Customer Service 858 number, figured it could be easily resolved but once the first rep took my call, was met with a very unhelpful Operator, tried to rush my call, rude, could not answer why my account was even banned for what was a mistake and not answering what did "Irregular Activity" means in which my account was banned for despite the charge back reason from the email stating so, ignored the email I told him from Square-Enix, and assumed it was permanent despite saying he did not know if it was permanent or could be resolved. I would of believed as a Consumer and Loyal fan of there's since 1994 on there offline products and for their Online Product Game Final Fantasy XI since 2003 one would think such a Customer would be important but this ban is very excessive, there was zero communication in order to deal with my case with the other department that got my account banned in the first place for a charge back nor did they offer any other solution in order to help me besides to file a ban complaint in which I have read in other forums doing such a thing with Square-Enix representatives would and often times not even investigate it thoroughly as they claim as in one case: http://www.bluegartrls.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2994030&postcount=1 Outright refused to get me to speak to his supervisor. There are many more cases in which foul play and unfair bannings have occurred and only met with negative feelings afterwords with hardly a Cinderella ending. I do not understand why their Customer Service wouldn't have the power to reinstate and help resolve issues with their Consumers but this practice has been going on since 2003 with very little change even now in the present with no chance at changing at all even with their new upcoming online retail game product, Final Fantasy XIV. This rings true, for anybody looking forward to their next Online Retail Game (FFXIV) will be met with the same conclusion, one can only hope it won't be but it'll be managed by the same team, sadly. On the basis of Customer Service it's a flat out 1 star, If you happen to not have to endure the dealings from their Customer Service then expect quality retail offline games Square-Enix is known for, the stories, experience, and utter joy of their offline products, underline the offline.
