I've been hung up by an SE customer service agents twice, and ushered off by in game / forum representatives to other reps that refuse to help in both FFXI as well as FFXIV.
For example...
A few days ago I contacted the SE US customer support about my Certificate of Passage. I followed the directions on the website and submitted a ticket via their online chat support. I also called in to make sure everything had went through and found out my account wasn't verified through the chat submitted ticket. I asked to speak to the rep's manager so I could let him know that the chat support reps weren't taking proper tickets. He refused to allow me to talk to the manager, and when I asked for a reason why, he kept repeating himself saying; "I cannot speak for the manager, but it is impossible for you to speak with them." I then asked for the policy on why I couldn't speak to the manager and he said there wasn't one. I then told the rep, "So you're just not letting me talk to them is really what's happening." He refused to respond and told me to go to a website. I continued the conversation attempting to bring attention to the rep how he wasn't even speaking to me like a person and how he was just repeating himself instead of trying to help me. I was then hung up on.
I feel very uncomfortable supporting this company as I know many of my friends have been randomly banned from SE's Online games without any explanation.
Please if you have had bad support - report it. This type of service isn't going to change unless SE is held accountable for their actions.
The US customer service support from SE is the worst customer service I've ever experienced.
