Like many have said, Square Enix has aweful customer service when it comes to any personal mediums. Calling will get you nearly no result what so ever. After a month of trying to change payment information online (recieving an error that the server is busy.) with multiple credit/debit cards, I tried to contact a customer service representative to change the payment information to a new card. I was told that either the server was busy and to keep trying, or to check with my credit card company to make sure the payment wasn't being declined. Since I work at the bank where my card is issued, it is easy for me to check and see no transaction was attempted through either of my cards. So, I was told that I either need to keep trying or to get a new card. Unfortunately, my current payment information is from a bank that is being closed. So, if I leave my current payment information on my current debit card, I will be assessed a fee from Square for declined card and a banned account.
So, after paying monthly for 5-6 years for a service I am now forced to cancel. I asked for a supervisor or someone who worked in billing and was told that they would give the same response. Fortunately for me, I will no longer have the temptation for $20 a month anymore as it will be impossible for me to update my payment information.
For anyone tempted to purchase a SE game/service, the games are extremely well made and very great way to spend time. However, if you ever need any sort of assistance, please do not expect SE to assist you in any way. After 5-6 years of playing these games, I can say that I never once was able to accomplish anything from contacting the customer service line aside from wasting several hours of my time.
