I purchased the Scosche stereo install lit for my 2000 Chevrolet S10. I purchased the most common kit that Scosche sells for my vehicle which is the "Scosche Dash Install Kit for 1982-2005 GM". The kit poorly constructed out if supposed abs plastics, but the outside of the box proudly displayed "MADE IN THE USA" and "DESIGNED AND ENGINEERED IN THE USA". I thought in the least the product would do what it was designed to do, which was hold my stereo in place (not a complicated task). I was wrong.
The kit was so cheap that it didn’t even come close to fitting my vehicle. I installed everything correctly, (I had another individual verify the assembly). The kit was very poor quality and even when assembled correctly it does not fit. I believe that I may have had this same problem 10 plus years ago and had since forgotten the poor quality of Scosche products.
I would like to ask that Scosche remove the “MADE and ENGINEERED IN THE USA” from this product as it is an embarrassment to American workers and American engineering. Scosche should be ashamed to sell such products especially when degrading the craftsmanship of the American worker.
