Pile loops lifting on 23-mo. old StainMaster carpet purchased at Lowe's in Acworth, Ga

Lowe's filed a claim. Inspector reported on Friday, 9/28, "local" sources as causing pile loops to lift in both high- and no-traffic areas. That mean we caused the problem. No pets here, and because the color is very light, we walk on it in socks, no shoes. Vacuum cleaner has been checked, nothing to catch pile loops and cause problems. They say not their problem. Bottom line, no warranty, although they say it has a 25-yr. guarantee. I'm sure the warranty wasn't free but was included in the cost of the carpet (nearly $2000 for 540 sq. ft.). No refund for that, no suggestions or offers to repair/replace, just not their problem. We will NEVER do business with this outfit again. (I'd rather purchase carpet from Wal-Mart!!! At least I know they'd take it back with a receipt!)
