We sold our car to a friend in 2008. He never registered the car, but we gave to the DMV the notice of release of liability form right away. When the car was towed in 2009, we were still showing as the owners. Then we got a collection notice in the mail from Rickenbacher, John Santos from Rickenbacher was very helpful and explained why we were in collections. After that, once we were able to get the copy of the release of liability form from the DMV and give it to Rickenbacher, they took us off the account right away. Every one we talked to was really friendly and helpful. For a collection agency, this was a good experience.
