Review 6/4/2010

We signed up with Local Splash/Relevant Ads for search engine optimization in the beginning of March 2010. On March 12, I called to cancel our "services" since they were not doing ANYTHING. We were already on the first pages of Yahoo, MSN and Google when we signed up. They had placed our company in the Google Maps, which by the way is a free service and anyone can do it. When I spoke to "Steve" on March 12, I told him I wanted to cancel and that since signing up, I had discovered that search engine optimization can only be accomplished THROUGH YOUR WEBSITE. This company has no power what so ever to change your rating on any of the search engines. They are scam artists and just out to make a quick buck, preying on people who are not that computer savvy. They just last week, unauthorizedly charged our bank account for $199.00. This is theft. I was told that I had "called to cancel, but decided to stay with the company." This does not even make sense. We had no contract with them and I signed nothing, but they said it was a "verbal agreement" and are refusing to refund any money. TOTAL SCAM!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
