BEWARE OF FALSE ADVERTISEMENTS - YOU MAY BE SIGNING A CONTRACT / BUSINESS ETHICS 101
|
A salesperson (Louie S.) came to my home and offered me the service of pest control. He stated that it would be $40.00 for them to spray that day. He also stated that I would would receive a bill for $89.00. I told him that it seemed kind of high in price. He told me that I could pay this amount over a three month period. They told me that if I had problems call again and they would spray. My daughter saw spiders and we called. They came on Dec 02, 2011. I cam home and found another bill that they left showing I owed another $89.99. I called Marco L. (Branch Manager) explained to him that the rep (Louie S.) never disclosed to me that this was an ongoing service that was going to be $89.99 every months. The only thing that branch manager told me was that I signed the contract. I asked for the General manager's phone number. I called the General Manager, John A. (702)353-8416. Explained to him the same thing. All he had to say to me was that I agreed by signing their contract. I told him that I wasn't going to argue with him that they clearly had problems with the field reps not disclosing this important information about ongoing fees that would be due. I also told him that it was their due diligence as the business to disclose this information to the customer so that this type of thing would not happen to someone else. I told him that I was going to file this complaint also with the Federal Trade Commission & Attorney Generals Office.
