I will never attempt to do business with this company again. We were interested in renting a home they were managing and the owner of Richco (aka Professional Property Management) failed to meet the terms of our contract when we placed our initial deposit down on the house. There were several things we asked to be repaired and also requested a response by a particular date so we could know that we were moving forward with this house or that it was not going to work out. Richco did not respond by the date we had asked for and did not return several of my phone calls.
When I asked for our money back, I was talked down to, treated like a moron, was told I "didn't know what I was talking about" and told I was out of luck by the owner. I immediately filed a small claims case against Richco and we won. The owner lied at the first hearing and thankfully I had a recording of a message he left on my voicemail and the judge asked to listen to it and it proved he was lying.
They did NOT pay the judgment and instead filed an appeal on the very LAST DAY they could do so, which prolonged everything and forced us to go BACK to court again. The owner and one of his office workers came to this appeal hearing and BOTH lied to the judge. He saw through them because we then won AGAIN and this company did not pay us our money until the LAST possible day.
In my opinion, this is a shady and dishonest business. Their office appeared unorganized in my opinion.
This information can be searched on the Superior Court web site for the County of San Bernardino under both Richco Real Estate and Professional Property Management. We are not the only parties to have sued them and won.
I would rate this business a ZERO if it was an option.
