Review 7/20/2010
|
I had my assistant do some research, and this company, by far, has had the best reviews on it, has not had any Department of Transportation Audit, or any fines, claims, or complaints at all.
considering my move was over $20,000.00, I was extremely skeptical about the entire overseas moving industry, considering the fact there are SO MANY people dealing with my things. When I asked the sales person (Pedro) about the process, I was SHOCKED to find out that my items will be going through SO MUCH! (P.S.- MOST OF THEM ARE FRAGILE!)
When Luis Garcia showed up to my house with the container, I advised him that most of the things are fragile, and need to be taken great care of. He assured me I have nothing to worry about, and that my house hold goods are in delicate hands.
After seeing them work so hard and do such a great job on packing my belongings and making sure they are places in the container in a way that would be hard for them to get damaged, I paid what I owed Pacific Island, and received the copy of my contract.
after receiving my things in Hawaii, my first initial reaction was to how many boxes were broken, smashed, or soaked (since they are shipping it overseas). TO MY SURPRISE, NONE OF THE ITEMS WERE DAMAGED WHAT SO EVER. After Doug, Their Employee in Hawaii, off-loaded all of my stuff and placed it exactly where I wanted it to be, I truly realized that it was a GREAT decision to hire these guys, they know what they're doing!!
THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT AMAZING, MY ENTIRE MOVE WAS PERFECT, AND TO BE QUITE FRANK, I HAVE NOT MET SUCH NICE AND COURTIOUS PEOPLE IN A VERY LONG TIME WHILE DEALING WITH SUCH A FRUSTRATING ISSUE (RELOCATION). I HAD PROMISED THE GENERAL MANAGER (MR. TOM KAY)THAT I WOULD WRITE THIS REVIEW, SINCE MY ENTIRE RELOCATION EXPERIENCE WITH PACIFIC ISLAND LOGISTICS HAS BEEN WONDERFUL.
