I decided to try OOKISA and went for this 35-DAY FREE Trial. On my statement, the trial end date was 2/10/10. I called OOKISA at 4:45pm PT on 2/10/10 to cancel, but was told my account had already been charged on 2/09/10! OOKISA said that on their system, my trial end date was 2/09/10, but I told them my statement shows end of 2/10/10. To prove this, I was asked to fax over my statement at #1-213-342-3798. I tried faxing my statement for 6 continual hours to this fax # and was not successful. I called OOKISA the next morning , 2/11/10 @ 7:45am PT to speak with a supervisor. I told the supervisor that OOKISA had no right to charge my account since I had until the end of 2/10/10 to cancel, which is what I did. The supervisor apologized for the lack of clarity in the wording on my statement, and told me I was supposed to "cancel" before 2/10/10. I told him that I would take legal course of action because I abided to exactly what was written on my statement that I had until the “end” of 2/10/10 to cancel. The Supervisor agreed to credit me half the charge and not proceed with any legal action. I received an email confirming this agreement, but I have to wait 14 days to actually see the credit. Lesson learned - call 2-5 days ahead of your trial end date if you want to cancel.
