This was the WORST experience I have ever had with a company. Purchased a Groupon for Mission Maids. When I called to made an appt, the owner answered the phone. The appt. we agreed upon was for them to be at my home from 1:00 - 2:30 on 4/14. I informed the owner I needed them to be done no later than 2:30 so I could pick up my son from school. When they didn't show I called. The owner told me 1:00 - 2:30 was the 'arrival window' not the 'working window.' I reminded him I had been very specific about my time constraints and that he had understood and assured me at the time that it was fine. The Groupon offered 2 maids for 2 hours, but due to my situation he offered me 3 maids for one and a half hours. I told him I would never have made the appt. had I known about the 'arrival window.' I would have made it for another day. He was rude, nasty and belligerent. When I asked for his name he refused to give it to me, what a coward! He informed me, using very colorful language, that he would not reschedule the appt., and would not give back my money. I had to file a formal complaint with Groupon to get a refund. I also filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, and a handful of government agencies that regulate businesses and consumer fraud. If I hadn't had Groupon behind me I would never have gotten any money back, I'd have had to sue him in Small Claims Court.
