Review 6/9/2009

My clogged laundry drain was fixed 5/3/2009. Arnold and Ben of Miracle Rooter were the 3rd plumbers at my house and the 2nd plumbing company to work on the clogged drain. I had already paid another plumber (Rico 7 Plumbing) $68 dollars for a bogus snake job Rico refused to guarantee. I was sadder, wiser $68 poorer and on guard.
I required the 2nd and 3rd plumbers diagnose, bid on and guarntee their work. Additionally, I insisted on them giving me a fixed bid. Arnold from Miracle Rooter (3rd company) said he thought the pvc under the sink might not hold together with the snake due to improper angle pipe. I explained I had been taken once already that day and I would only pay for a job that was guaranteed to clear the drain at a set price. He called his supervisor and explained the situation. I again asked him to give me a firm, guaranteed bid. He did after verifying it with his company, at $120. Arnold snaked the kitchen drain, where the clog actually was and the plastic pipe fell apart under the kitchen sink, as expected. Arnold called Ben, a Miracle Rooter supervisor who came over immediately to look over the situation. I told Ben it was a firm bid and I expected it to be fixed for the price quoted. They both proceeded to remove the old plumbing (about 2 feet of pvc) and install the correct configuration along with clearing the line.
They were neat, courteous, guaranteed their work and stuck by the quoted price. I highly recommend them.
I also recommend you do your homework by bidding the job with at least 3 plumbers so you understand the scope of your plumbing problems and range of fair market prices. Miracle Rooter desreves 5 stars, but they are building their reputation after another pretty nasty review, so they get 4 from me with more to follow from other customers, if they continue to shine. Good work Miracle Rooter!
