Called this company to unclog a drain and was told there are big problems down the line from roots. Field supervisor recommended replacing line all the way to the city line at a big expense. I was worried that they were padding the diagnosis, but this morning the technician on the job showed me the pipe he had removed, totally clogged with root growth--so much that no rooter could have cleared it. And there would be more roots down the line, he was sure. The roots apparently invade the clay pipe, then take the path of least resistance, growing and filling it. Technician completely willing to explain and show the evidence of the problem.
