I sent my GPS unit for a warranty repair. I didn't hear anything for about 3 weeks. I called to get an update and they told me it would take around 3 weeks to repair. I waited for another week or so and called again and the customer service person sounded like the lost my unit. He asked me for my delivery confirmaiton number and put me on hold then came back and said my unit could not be repaired. He then told me they were going to send me a maestro 3140 as a replacement. I asked if that unit had all the features and my roadmate 800 and he told me it did. I accepted the offer then did some research and found out the 3140 did not have all the features as my roadmate 800. I called back and asked for a better unit and they told me that was the only unit they were going to send me. I told them I was not satisfied with the outcome of this warranty replacement and I was going to seek other avenues to complain. I would stay away from any Magellan product. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they never even replied to the complaint.
