MJT Assocs appears to be the same entity as "Frank" aka "Daniel Star" of CT Loans, Loan Center, Car Loan Center, GC Services, Micro Auto Recovery, Five Stars Towing, Five Stars Dealership. I had a loan with Loan Center which was later deemed VOID by the Dept of Corporations because LOAN CENTER and CT LOANS and CAR LOAN CENTER never had a finance lender license!!! (that makes them loansharks). I dealt with "Daniel" at Loan Center and had his cell # at that time. Now I call the same cell # and its Frank with MJT Assocs. He is not supposed to be doing business and he is not allowed to recover assets from any of those illegal loans. He tricked many people into signing new contracts with GC Services (apparently with a new front, but still him). If you have been swindled by this guy, you should report him to the Dept of Consumer Affairs\Dept of Corporations. He also knowingly engages unlicensed repossessors, a misdemeanor which should also be reported to the local police and the Bureau of Security & Investigative Services http://www.bsis.ca.gov/industries_regulated/uaau.shtml. The have an online license check also where you can check a repo man's license, he should be happy to give it to you if he really has one. http://www.bsis.ca.gov/online_services/verify_license.shtml (EVERY employee except clerks must be licensed in the repo busines, not just the agency and manager) In "Frank's" case, he is operating a full blown repossessor agency Micro Auto Recovery, 1560 N. San Fernando Road, Los Angeles, CA 90065 and says this is actually Illusion Recovery (who only has an RA and QM license, no employees who repossess). He also has the Five Stars Dealership and Towing (DOT?) and advertises vehicle registration services.
This man...these companies have swindled MANY people out of their cars. You can call your lawyer... but you should probably call the police.
