I'm taking the time to do this so that consumers can be protected. I hired Paul Lujan to do my bath tub (repair crack and resurface the area) and do my kitchen sink 11/09 for my rental property. He provided a 3-year warranty for the job. Tenant informed me that bathtub had large drop beading over and that sink area around drain had some exposed area (which opens the resurface to peeling)... I have photos to show. Called him to come back - he did after the new year to honor his warranty... even had an email that said 'of course'. He completed job and all is well until 07/10. Tenant informed me that bath tub repair cracked. I called him immediately - he said he'll handle it directly with Tenant. He never did. I went on vacation and told tenant to follow up with him. Tenant called, emailed and texted him multiple times - no response. Then I filed complaint with BBB - he responded that he had voided the warranty after we made false calls! False calls to honor his work, which in his email, he said 'of course' he'll fix? Tenant and I never heard anything about voided warranty as he handled the initial warranty fix professionally.... he heard it first when he mentioned on his BBB rebuttal! Tenant verified that was a lie. WOW! This economy certainly has turned this perhaps once professional and honorable contractor to a lying and dishonorable one! WATCH OUT!
