OMG, DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! Talk about a major scam. They led me to believe that they were working for me when in actuality all they wanted was my $$ & then leave me defending for myself (again). It starts off with a call from them telling you that they can help you & promising a refund if they can not get a loan mod. They give you their website & state that they have a high rating with the BBB. For me, I had been talking with Dave Vitak since February 2010 & finally after my original mortgage company (Aurora Loan Services) denied my HAMP loan mod in May 2010 did I decide to go with Legal Home Loan Solutions. They WERE rated with an "A" when I did research on them back in Feb & May. After Dave received the very last of my 401k funds ($2500) to pay for the retainer fee that was the last I heard from him. I was assigned a negotiator (Maria Tejera) who called me once a month (instead of weekly as stated by Dave). Found out my loan was sold to IBM Lender Business Process Services. So, because everything was being transferred & updated, I ended up having to redo all my paperwork. After getting all that done & after months of sending bank statements & current paystubs all I kept hearing was, "We're still waiting on the mortgage company to get back to us. Just keep sending your required docs." Then on Nov 5, 2010 I received a Trial Period Payment Plan for a loan mod. I faxed the docs to Maria & she called me stating that IBM Lender Business Process Services did not send an acceptance form for me to sign. She said it was a tactic that lenders use to say that they never received the signed acceptance so they can deny the loan mod. She said she would call & get that doc & call me to tell me where to send it. That was the last I heard from her. On Nov 8, 2010, someone from their firm called & said that she was taking over for Maria & she would be my new negotiator. She did not give me her name, just said that since she had my info she would send it in an email. She said she would call IBM regarding the Trial Period Payment Plan paperwork & get back to me. Again, that was the last I heard from her or anyone from Legal Home Loan Solutions. After several attempts to contact anyone (via email on their site, faxes, phone calls) I received NOTHING! Then, on Dec 28, 2010 I get this letter in the mail (like all the other people who have posted a review) that they can no longer represent me due to their BS excuse & are closing their office. WTF! So, now I'm out $2500, in the red with the mortgage, in default & now possible foreclosure. I've filed a complaint with BBB & have sent a complaint to the Florida Bar. I want Thomas Matevia to give a permanent resignation. I've found that it is more severe than disbarment, since the attorney may never again practice law in Florida. In a disbarment, an attorney may be eligible to apply for readmission to the profession after at least five years, although in practice, very few disbarred lawyers apply to be readmitted or are allowed to practice law again. So for those of you reading this & have been scammed by these people, file against them. Also, I'm going a different route, rather than ask the mortgage company for a loan mod I am going with another group that is actually putting a lawsuit against the mortgage company. That way, once a case is put against the mortgage company, the mortgage company's file for my case is frozen. They can not do anything until the lawsuit is complete. Meaning they can not foreclose, they can not change your payment, they can not do anything to your account. Should have gone with them in the very beginning.
