Review 7/26/2011

I liked Ms Squires immediately upon meeting her, and hired her to represent me in my divorce. The first phase went smoothly, however, things quickly stalled. I was told that my retainer was used up, and so I made several phone calls requesting a detailed itemization of charges/services. All I received were statements detailing how I was charged for THOSE phone calls, with additional bills for these new outstanding balances. One of these bills listed the same phone calls twice with charges for BOTH. another phone call requesting that they rectify that billing error resulted in yet another charge, BUT NO REMEDY OF THE ORIGINAL ERROR. I had been told in person that it was fine to make $50 monthly payments due to my limited income, yet after maintaining my account in good standing for several months, I began to be charged a fee for the act of sending me a new bill each month! I borrowed money to pay the account in full, in May of 2011. Yet I am STILL receiving monthly bills with no credit for the final payment, and with additional charges for June and July bills. I have just sent in proof of payment from my bank to settle this. Meanwhile, two years later my divorce remains stalled in the water and I am afraid to pursue it further for fear of STILL MORE charges that are unreasonable and unnecessary.
I cannot recommend this firm whatsoever.
