Ripoff report regarding a deposit

I’m so disappointed with LRS Realty and Management, Inc.
For 4 years, I leased a 2 bedroom condo from LRS Realty and Management, Inc. I paid my rent every single month and never had a late payment. I was a model tenant. I’m a very clean and considerate guy. When I moved out, I had my professional cleaner clean the unit. When my professional cleaner was done, you could eat off the floor. I was flabbergasted when I received the return of my deposit. LRS Realty and Management, Inc. had deducted nearly $500 for cleaning. For what? Yes, there were 5 board games (like Monopoly) and a few miscellaneous items left in one of the closets. Yes, there was a broken toilet paper roll dispenser (which was a cracked plastic unit and was not my fault). Other than those 2 mentioned items, the condo was left in “perfect” condition. It should not have taken anybody longer than 15 minutes to restore the condo to some sort of “Grand Perfection” that I guess they were expecting. After 4 years, there is “normal” wear and tear and the condo owner has some obligation to do any touch-up cleaning and minor restoration. However, LRS Realty and Management, Inc. felt it necessary to deduct nearly $500 from my deposit.
My second reason for my great disappointment in LRS Realty and Management, Inc. is because of their apathetic response regarding maintenance/repairs issues during my 4-year tenure. Generally 1-2 times per year, I would have a maintenance/repair issue. They have a special phone number for you to call for maintenance issues. When you call that number, a recorded message directs you to their website to formally make the complaint. OK, so far, so good. However, when you go to that website, you can’t log in. When you ask them why you can’t log in, they say, “We’re fixing that issue”. Instead, you would have to call back and leave a message on a recorded phone line with your maintenance issue. Then you would wait, wait, wait and wait for even a response. Then you would follow up in 1 week. Again, you would wait and wait. Come on guys, can’t you simply respond within 24 hours? I’ll even accept 48 hours. Just respond.
Yes, I’m upset up about the deposit (mentioned above). I know there are two sides to every story. But let me be clear. My condo was left perfect. I know it. By any rational person’s standards, that condo was left immaculate. I guess LRS Realty and Management, Inc. feels they can nickel and dime their clients by adding fees with impunity. Most people probably grumble and accept it. I feel it’s my duty to let the public know. Shame on you LRS Realty and Management, Inc.
