URGENT - DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM!
|
Please take my advice and do not hire this firm. They charge enormous fees (which would be fine, if you can afford it) but they are not interested in their clients and are only focused on money. We hired an attorney from this firm to represent my son in an school expulsion case. Believe me they are good at sales and will make you feel that they go to war for you. Don't fall for it. They will even mislead you as far as the fees go. We were told the whole expulsion process from pre-negotiations to the appeal process and were told that the flat rate of 5 digits...yes I said 5 digits would cover everything from start to finish. Well first off the attorney didn't do law school 101 things like request my son's school records. When we walked into the hearing the school official that was there to argue against my son had been meeting with the panel alone for at least 25 minutes, the attorney didn't say anything about thing or put anything on the record. What he should of did was request a stop to the hearing because it was clear that the hearing was going to be unfair and bias against my son. He didn't present my son's case, he basically gave them a packet and said "Read the packet, just make sure you read the packet". My son's future is at stake and you are telling a panel of three district employees to read the packet instead of presenting and arguing the case for my son. After the hearing he was ok with the school representative walking out 7 minutes later. Didn't concern him about this unfair treatment against my son. It was clear afterwards that the reason why he didn't really represent my son is because the "flat fee from start to finish" didn't include the appeal which is an additional flat fee. So their concept is do as little as possible up front and then charge them more later for their misrepresentation. They are so focused on money that they run your credit and ask you about your whole history and run your background just to make sure that you are capable of paying them. Therefore, if you can't afford them it doesn't matter they aren't going to take your case. The attorney that messed up my son's case by his inexperience or lack of care refused to take 15 minutes out of his day to prepare two declaration regarding things that he messed up on that would help my son's appeal. oh, well let me correct that, he will if I pay him $500.00 and hour to do them. One of the senior partner of the firm email me the following "if someone has a prior history of being dishonest including prior criminal acts of dishonesty that is highly relevant.." and they represent people fighting for their freedom - I definitely wouldn't want this firm representing me and this is their opinion.
