Review 2/16/2011

On February 9, 2011 I unfortunately had the misfortune of dealing with this company as they contract with AAA. I needed help to get into my car and an employee of Jims Towing was dispatched. A representative arrived nearly 30 minutes late, as noted by AAA. Upon arrival the employee asked for my ID. When he saw that I was not the person on the benefits card, he indicated that he could not help me. However, he could if I paid him $60 cash. When I stated that I didnt have it he lowered his "fee" to $20 cash. He suggested that I walk to an ATM machine around the block. The neighborhood that I was stranded in did not appear the safest and he declined to transport me to the ATM. Prior to his departure he called his office and stated that he could not proceed with helping me and "closed out" the call. I then proceeded to ask him if he could wait while I walked to the ATM and came back, he indicated that he could no longer help me as he had "closed out" the call when he called an spoke to his brother at the shop. So, was he trying to say that he was going to charge me a CASH fee plus bill AAA?? Talk about double dipping. I contacted AAA after he left, he never offered to call AAA on my behalf or suggested that I call. AAA was able to add me on as a member to my spouses account. They again then proceeded to call out JIm's Towing. The second time around another employee showed up who never bothered to ask for my ID and only glanced at it upon me suggesting that I had it for him to look at just in case. Talk about inconsistency. In all this entire experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Disgusting. I have contacted AAA and BBB to look into this matter.
