Horrible and hard to believe
|
This attorney has been given a simple task to respond to two emails from two different organizations providing them with the general information about consumer rights to publish reviews on review sites like Yelp. It was something that was needed to be done within 2-3 days. No research or investigation was needed, just general information that anyone can find on the Internet. I was willing to pay some reasonable money for putting this information on a lawyer's letterhead. I thought it was easy and would sound more authoritative if coming from a lawyer. I could hardly imagine how this could have gone wrong... Emails Mr. Barrett was asked to send should have go out in 2-3 days after we contacted him. It took him a month, he created seven versions always including things that he was never asked to address, we sent him many emails asking to start cooperating with our request and stop coming up with unneeded initiatives. He billed for reading these emails but never produced any result. He ended up stating that by not ever writing an email that was requested he helped us more than if he would have actually written one. For this "help" he charged us more than four thousand and now we have to take him into fee arbitration. Would not recommend to anyone. If this attorney himself stated that not doing any work is the best help he can provide decide for yourself if you want to pay anything to this lawyer whose strongest point, by his own account, is NOT doing any work.
