I feel mistrust and abuse.
I had been a long term customer for several years of Jelsoft the company that was purchased by internet brands. I signed up when I could get free updates for their software while paid the support fee of $40 in their old terms of service. With recent emails I am pressured to sign up for and purchase their current offering that would involve a discount at the current time but would lock me into a price structure that I would not be able to pay with the current price scheme.
I purchased project tools and blog add ons and am now told that project tools is a "free" add on and that the blog addition will be included with the new software license that I already paid for. They are asking me to pay for the service/software twice to upgrade at an inflated price when my contract with them on their original terms of service quoted me a one time license fee with blogs and prject tools included with my vbulletin license with support paid yearly at $40 or ($60 if expired).
We have all seen how the mortgage industry has treated America when we overpay or overbuy for a service that is not available. I see that with the current version as I am offered when I should by rights of the old terms of service be offered this for free. When they lock you into the current offering to will at the debut of version 5 have to again pay an inflated price for a product.
I had been a customer for an extended period and severed ties with them due to lacking support, abuse and comments on the support forums and breaking their original terms of service with my lifetime agreement.
