In response to the review by Tarlan F, I am the owner of Hye Tech Auto and I stand behind my work all the way. Your husband a wonderful man brought in his 2005 Scion xA which he mentioned he had neglected for quite some time and that he hadn't replaced the oil for about 20,000 miles. The oil was so low and bad (like tar) I was surprised that your engine hadn't seized. We had to flush the engine several times just to clean the system out. The car was a mess, brakes were vibrating when applied the drive belt was about to brake and so on. The amount of work done on this car for $460.00 was nothing compared to what other places may have charged you. We replaced your front brake pads only and inspected the rear brakes and emergency brake operation, which was fine.Your emergency brake contrary to what you believe should never be difficult to operate but should prevent your car from rolling back or forward when applied. If your going to slam a shop you should at least let people know that you failed to perform regular maintenance on your car, so you should expect brake downs and other potential problems to arise. The noise your talking about was during the rains in January which caused your belt to squeal, I recall you coming in and we fixed /adjusted the belt at no charge. My employees and I strive to keep customers happy and honesty is our number one policy. All I ask is that you be fair with your review and not to mislead people, making them believe we are a dishonest shop. I know you had a budget during the repair and there is only so much we can do when faced with that challenge. I am still happy to double check my work and if there are any errors we made we will gladly correct them if given the chance.
