I went in to Homestyle furnishings today to take measurements of the bedroom set that had caught my eye when I had browsed their furniture in the past. As I was taking measurements a salesman named Ben informed me that they had a no sales tax offer for Labor day weekend. I told him that we would have to see if the furniture could even fit into my bedroom, so I would have to go home and figure it out. He then offered me an additional $100 off the set price if I bought it today. Intrigued by the offer, I went home and checked that the furniture would fit, I then called the store as they were about to close and asked if it was okay to show up a few minutes after their normal closing time. The manager agreed that it would be okay so I drove 20 minutes back to the store. After arriving back that the store the salesman Ben denied ever offering me $100 off the set price even though there were several witnesses to his offer. The salesman then started yelling and almost became physically aggressive with to the point where the manager had to tell him to leave the store multiple times and ultimately had to ask another employee to escort Ben outside. The manager then informed me that they could not honor the price, but would include free delivery with the full price. At that point it was time to leave. Ben's verbal attack that nearly turned physical was a horrible experience and I am considering calling the police.
