Had applied for a loan modification six months ago from my mortgage lender. I didn't get anywhere with them. Then I received a call from the Home Protection Firm. They charged me an up front a fee of $1995.00. This should have been my first clue, and I questioned it. They called me every week and gave updates and finally told me my loan modification would be done by the end of the year. They are no longer answering their phones as they are no longer in service. Their web page is still up but contact info, get started icon, goes to page not found. This company is a scam.
