This company phone solicited my assistant and, she, unwittingly, agreed to buy one toner cartridge from the business to "try" it.
Now the company is calling and harassing our firm, stating that we agreed to some kind of perpetual supply order to purchase more toner cartridges.
She has, repeatedly, told any callers that we will not do business with them, but they keep calling and mailing invoices. We have refused delivery of any other product.
Today, a very peculiar thing happened. She received a priority envelope that had to be signed for. In the envelope, which had $10 in postage on it, was a $25 American Express gift certificate - nothing more.. no explanation of any kind as to why it was sent. I am very suspicious of this "gift" and wonder if it was sent to obtain our receptionist's signature for proof of delivery that they may use to state they delivered something different to our office. I, also, suspect that the gift certificate is bogus.
I can't think of any other reason why this company would be harrassing one minute and sending gift certificates, the next; especially given the fact that the gift cert did not come with any explanation of any kind.
If anyone else has had a similar experience, please comment here so we can see what happened in your case. I just find this whole thing to be extremely suspicious.
