Scam - Should I return the ink?
|
This company called my office stating that the ink that was ordered was damaged during shipping and that they would resend it for no fee, and then asked my name and asked me to confirm my address. We received the ink, and shortly after an invoice for ~$487. When I spoke to the company after receipt of the invoice, I asked who had ordered it to begin with and they said that I did (they used my name from their phone call stating the package we had already ordered would be reshipped). I expressed that I never ordered it, and their company lied by saying the ink had been ordered from our office. We received the ink, and I told them they can send me a shipping label if they want it returned, as it was not my offices mistake but theirs, and they are responsible for the shipping of the ink that they wrongly sent to us. We still have the unopened ink, but we continue to get invoices. I told them we have a lawyer we are not afraid to speak with, and her response was "Yea well we have a lawyer too". Terrible company that sustains itself by wronging others.
What I want to know if anyone else has returned the ink or if they just kept it. How do you get this company to stop harassing you? Is it worth it to pay for shipping even though we are not responsible for their wrong? How did you all deal with this issue?
