I used this company to ship my 1995 honda accord from virginia to california. It took them 12 days to get my car here and they managed to dent the top of my trunk on both sides and covered it up with gold paint thinking that I wouldn't notice. I took before and after pictures of my car and it is obvious that the dents were made during the shipment. They kept denying the damage and told me that if I did decide for them to keep the car to look over it, that the driver who transported my car would have to admit to the damages done and pay for it out of his own pocket and that he would only give me 50 dollars for the damages. Mind you that they would have to hold my car for another 3-4 days! This was not worth my time. I am upset because they were very dishonest, trying to cover up the damages with paint. I know my car is old and it has scratches and other issues like a peely top coat, but I KNOW that the dents weren't there before and it is just shady of them to cover it up and deny everything. I have proof and all they kept saying is that "your car is old" etc.
It was very dark outside so I couldn't read the bill of landing in it's entirety, but it says that I CAN write the damages on it, sign, and submit the necessary payment and still get to keep my car, but the NEVER told me that and it was definitely too dark to read it. I was dealing with Edgar and I'm sure he knew about the policy and chose not to tell me. That is VERY dishonest. I didn't see this until I got home and was able to read my copy. I'm very disappointed in this business and its employees.
If they were honest and not try to cover up the damages but instead owning up to it, I think I would've have been okay with everything. Also if they were honest enough to tell me the appropriate steps, that would've been helpful as well. They chose to be dishonest and shady.
