My hours were cut twice in one year and I realized I either needed to get a loan modification or sell my house because I could no longer afford the payment and the stress of collections calling me all the time was really becoming too much to handle. I tried for 6 months to do it on my own but got nowhere with my lender, they just kept telling me I didn't qualify but would not tell me why. I was running out of time so I searched the BBB for a law firm that handles loan modifications in my area and found First Source Law. I called and spoke with a legal assistant who asked me some general questions about my income and current mortgage, she determined that I was a good candidate and asked me if I would like to come into the office to meet with an attorney. I was very weary about hiring someone for a modification so I was glad they were happy to meet with me. I met with Attorney Ben Yrungaray and a legal assistant named Aubrey. They reviewed all of the documents I had submitted to my lender Chase over the previous 6 months and explained to me why they thought I had been denied and why they thought they could help get me a payment I could afford. They answered all my questions and I decided that I wanted to hire them to help me. I gave them all the documents that requested and they re-submitted my file to my lender. About 4 months later I received a permanent modification that was better then I had expected, I really feel that they had my best interests in mind and fought to get me the payment I needed to keep my home. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who has tried it on their own but cannot get their banks attention.
