I am happy for those that claim First One has provided the service they advertised. Unfortunately, I fall into the category with the numerous other reviewers who did not receive any resolve to their situation or a refund from the company's 100% guarantee of service as promised. I too received lots of phone calls up until they received the 1000 they claimed would be need to get the ball rolling. After a period of time, I eventually called them only to hear that my mortgage lender did not agree to give me a loan modification. How do I know this to be true? There has been no legitimate paperwork to indicate there was communication between the two parties.
The advertisement is misleading and states that if no service has been fulfilled on "their part" you may recieve an guarantee. Excuse me, the last time I checked "a service" is anything that is performed for a fee. If I go to the barber shop and get a hair cut, I am going to know I received one whether it is good or bad because it is tangible. First One excludes this part in order to walk out of the door with hurting people's hard earned capital. There should be a policy against these shasty practices. Believe me, they know how to falsely advertise, but I believe if consumers will continue to report claims against them and practice good "public relations by spreading the word to anyone that will listen. They will have no other choice except to change their practices from fradulent to honorable!!!
