Incident: 1/17/10
My story does not differ much from those above, parked in an unmarked space, towed and forced to pay almost $400 to re-claim my car (extra $110 because it was a holiday and they were not scheduled to be open - funny I waited there all day and they definitely looked open). . . the difference is, in the process of removing my car from the property, they did not follow proper towing procedures and my transmission was ruined.
I was forced to file an insurance claim, and according to both the repair shop and my insurance, all damage was due to towing my car backwards, in park.
Total Repairs $2200
Rental Car $230
Time off work $350
Insurance Deductible $250
Tow $400
I was told my three different people in the Excel office that Jason (the owner) would call me back, but it has been a week and I still have yet to hear. I know he knows about the determination, the repair shop called him to let him know. But, still. . . nothing. . .
The saddest part, I wasn't even that upset about getting towed, all I wanted was for my car to work the same way it did BEFORE they towed it and to not have people lie about what actually happened.
