Not impressed

My son saved for months to purchase a gun through Evike. Since receiving it he has experienced nothing but trouble. We sent it back once to be repaired only to have it malfunction a few days later.
Currently, the gun is at their facility because we were told that if it was returned (AGAIN) he would be issued store credit. He loves airsoft and just wanted a gun that was going to work. He didn't want his money back. He just wanted something he could use with his friends when they play in their tournaments.
However, we were just told that because we didn't save the original box, he cannot be issued store credit. Our options were to have the broken gun fixed again (um, no thanks), or he could receive a partial refund (minus a 15% re-stocking fee).
So I can't say anything good about this company. They're taking $40 from a 13 year old kid who busted his butt to save his money. And honestly, he didn't want his money back, he wanted to use the money he already spent and purchase something different. How this was all handled is just sad. I hope they sleep well at night. I on the other hand have to go break the news to my kid that he's out more than $40, and that now we have to find a different company to buy his guns from.
I will pass on our experience with other parents in the hopes that they don't make the same mistake we did by shopping through Evike.
