Bad Installers

Installers Andrew and Joe were awful. They showed up at noon to install 12 windows. I was told they would start by 10 AM. Andrew said they’d be done by 5 PM. I knew then I was in trouble. They eventually finished up at 9:30 PM. Andrew was constantly on his cell arguing with his girlfriend.
Andrew and Joe were sloppy. They scratched and dinged up wall paint and window sills. They dropped caulk on carpets and floors. They installed two tempered windows in the wrong openings that coincidentally were the same size. They did not caulk two of the windows on the outside. (They came back a week later to do that.) Instead of using clear silicone on the outside to caulk, they used white silicone on my tan stucco. They later applied non-matching tan stucco patch over the white silicone and obliterated the texture around the window. Eventually at my insistence, they bought matching paint. They left labels on the outside of the window. Needless to say, they did not clean the windows as have other installers on previous retrofits.
Though the price for the windows and installation was less than what Lowe’s bid for the same brand of windows, it was not worth the mess and aggravation.
On a positive note, Kristi the office manager was helpful.
