Is CLF a mortgage modification scammer?
|
Look up the address for CLF Funding on google earth and run a street view - you will see that it is a mail drop center, not a real office. I am hearing complaints about CLF that resemble my own scam at the hands of Resolution Services, Tarzana, CA. I was told that they had the highest degree of certainty that they could successfully negotiate my mortgage. Resolution Services then directed me to Trustlink to read good reviews, that I now know were fake. They previously operated under different names: Mediation Group, Gilbert, AZ; Forsta Mediation Services, Mesa AZ; United Mediation Group, Encino, CA and I think they operate under Realty Law Group in Tarzana, CA. Same scam with different company names. As soon as the complaints pile in they shut off their phones, email addresses, and websites and vanish - with your hard earned money!! RED FLAG WARNING - if they offer to negotiate your mortgage for an upfront fee hang up the phone immediately. This scam has been going on since 2009 and people are losing their homes as well as their money. It is illegal in every state in the U.S. for a company to charge an upfront fee for a mortgage modification.
Best of Luck
