Review 9/9/2011
|
I rented a Hyundai Elantra from Budget Rent a Car LAX over Labor Day weekend 2011. The transaction took place at the actual office, and not online or over the phone. The agent, named Monica, upon hearing that I was declining the optional LDW insurance at $9.00 per day, said that she would give me a discount of $7.00 per day. Because of the "discount", I agreed to take it.
She never changed it on the paperwork or in the system; I later found out that agents aren't even ABLE to change those rates. So they have deceptive business practices, and will be dishonest to customers to gain extra profit on a rental. I brought this issue up to someone in the office named Richard when I turned the car in 5 days later. He said he would speak to Monica and have her call me. Of course, I've never heard from anyone since. It's only an issue of ten dollars but the principle is that agents should not lie to customers.
The car I rented, although nice, was heavily scuffed up.
