Horrible customer service. Complete and utter censorship (of non-offensive material).
Recently, I had a question arise that I desired an answer to. I did what any sensible person would do... I asked the question on their forums. Several posts later, one of Blizzard's community managers gave me a half answer. I asked a specific question and in return was asked two.
My question pertained to using a programmable keyboard to do a function that I can do without one.
Their response was, "Can you do it in game without the keyboard?" Yes. "Does it follow the guideline of One Button Push = One Action?" Technically, yes. I push the button once, one action, and only one, takes place in game.
Several other posts refuting my stance, claiming that it wasn't truly One Button Push = One Action.
The Blizzard representative posted again with a vague definition... still not affirming or denying the legality of my clearly explained issue.
I grew tired of waiting for an answer and asked who I should contact that would give me an answer. I received no such information. Eventually I went to bed, hoping that some rest would calm me down.
I awoke the next morning and returned to my post to find it had been locked. Not for breaking rules. Not for being derailed. Not for being answered. No, it was locked because it had gone on long enough. Apparently, if Blizzard doesn't want to answer a question, and other people are debating it, they will just lock the thread claiming it had a time limit?
This company has grown too large, too fast, and cares little for it's customers. Unfortunately it offers a service that is hard to match elsewhere.
They claim to listen to what their customers want, but censor anyone who disagrees with them, locking their threads, or going as far as to delete the thread, if it makes them look bad.
