Until very recently I had enjoyed the products and services of Blizzard entertainment. When they went live with their patch 4.0.1 that changed rather fast. I have given them several weeks to help me resolve issues that the patched caused rendering the game unplayable and at times unable to even connect to the servers. I do understand there is an ELU however it still seems quite immoral to sell someone a product that works fine than ruin it and still expect them to keep paying. Paying for a service that can no longer be used to it's fullest or often any extent.
Attempts to resolve issues through their customer service were met with disgustingly long wait times in excess of a week at one point as well as open hostility since their method of resolution includes open posting in a forum as opposed to a confidential discussion with a representative.
Technical support was no better either. Experiences there were less than professional and helpful.
A massive overhaul of customer support mainly installing an effective confidential system needs to be made as well as proper beta-testing of software to prevent wide scale issues from rendering products useless. Products customers are suppose to keep paying for even while unstable beyond use.
